What actually makes a difference

  • Quantify occupancy rate, RevPAR, or guest satisfaction score improvements -- this role is scored on hospitality metrics, not general leadership language.
  • Name the property management system you've used (Opera, Cloudbeds, RMS) -- larger hotel groups often filter on the exact platform.
  • Include staff size managed and turnover/retention numbers -- operational leadership is proven with headcount and retention, not adjectives.
  • If you've managed a budget or driven a cost-saving initiative, state the dollar figure -- hotel management is closely tied to P&L accountability.

A "Property Type & Size" line (room count, brand, independent vs. chain) near the top helps a hiring manager instantly place the scale of operation you're used to running.
