YourCVMaker vs BeamJobs: Compared (2026)
BeamJobs' own homepage promises an AI resume builder you can download "free in Docs and Word formats," a free ATS Resume Checker built around nine layouts, and a library of over 2,000 profession-specific resume examples -- all real claims taken straight off beamjobs.com. What we could not confirm anywhere on beamjobs.com itself is a stable price: the site has no dedicated pricing page we could find, and nothing beyond that homepage copy tells you what, if anything, you'll actually pay to keep a finished file. Here's exactly what's confirmed, what isn't, and where a flat, shown-up-front subscription still beats a price that only shows up once you're already signed in -- checked against beamjobs.com's own pages on October 14, 2026.
At a glance
This page compares YourCVMaker and BeamJobs on free-tier downloads, ATS checking, resume content library and templates, verified against beamjobs.com on October 14, 2026.
BeamJobs' own homepage states its designs "can be downloaded for free in Docs and Word formats," alongside a free, no-signup ATS Resume Checker that scores your resume against one of nine ATS-friendly layouts and a library of over 2,000 resume examples sorted by career, niche and experience level. What beamjobs.com does not publish anywhere we could find is an actual price list -- there's no dedicated pricing page, so we're not citing a number for what BeamJobs costs past its free tools. YourCVMaker charges one flat €9.99/month, shown in full before you pay, with Free already including unlimited saved resumes across all 229 templates and 1 ATS-friendly PDF download per account.
| What you get | BeamJobs | YourCVMaker |
|---|---|---|
| Free plan | Build with no account required; beamjobs.com's own homepage states resumes "can be downloaded for free in Docs and Word formats" -- we could not independently verify this applies at the actual download step, and are not citing third-party accounts of what happens there since none are attributable to beamjobs.com's own pages | Unlimited saved resumes across all 229 templates; 1 ATS-friendly PDF download per account, no watermark (Designer PDF/PNG/Word need Pro; one-time Designer PDF for a verified academic email) |
| Free ATS checker | A free ATS Resume Checker, no account required, scoring your resume against one of nine layouts "designed to help you create an ATS compliant resume," per beamjobs.com/resume-checker | ATS check & resume score built into every account, plus a free, no-signup keyword scanner and four automated export checks run before every release -- see what we test for |
| Resume content library | Over 2,000 resume examples "specific to your career, niche, and experience level," per beamjobs.com's own homepage -- a written-example library, separate from its 9-layout checker templates | 229 real, selectable-element templates in the template library, 215 of them running through the Advanced Editor for per-element design control |
| Cover letter tool | An AI cover letter generator that takes your resume plus a job description and produces a matching cover letter and template, per beamjobs.com's own homepage | Free, no-signup cover letter generator tool, plus AI-personalized cover letters included on Pro |
| Pricing | No dedicated pricing page found on beamjobs.com as of this check. Independent reviews describe a short low-cost trial converting to a recurring charge, but disagree on the trial amount -- we're leaving every figure out rather than guess, since none of it is attributable to beamjobs.com's own pages | Flat €9.99/month, shown in full before you pay -- no trial, no step-up price |
| AI model | Describes "AI feedback" and AI-written resume/cover letter content on its own pages, with no specific underlying model named | Anthropic's Claude models, named explicitly in our Privacy Policy |
Where BeamJobs is genuinely strong
BeamJobs' content library is the real, concede-worthy strength here: over 2,000 written resume examples organized by career and experience level is a far bigger head start on what to actually write than anything we offer today, and its ATS checker runs free with no account at all, same as its builder. A LinkedIn-import resume builder at beamjobs.com/linkedin-resume-builder is also a genuine convenience we don't match -- turning an existing LinkedIn profile straight into a first draft.
The part worth reading before you commit to a download
The gap worth flagging plainly: beamjobs.com's own homepage says a resume "can be downloaded for free in Docs and Word formats," but the site publishes no pricing page anywhere we could find via search -- the only place a number would appear, based on how the product is built, is somewhere inside the signed-in download flow itself, which we did not access and are not describing secondhand. We're not calling this a bait-and-switch, because we can't confirm it is one; we're saying plainly that a "free download" claim with no visible price list anywhere on the public site is worth testing yourself, with a disposable email, before you build a resume you're counting on keeping. YourCVMaker's Pro price is on the pricing page in full -- €9.99/month, no trial step, no number that only appears after you've already signed in.
Where YourCVMaker fits in
If a bigger head start on wording is what you want, BeamJobs' 2,000+ example library and free LinkedIn import are real reasons to look at it first. What YourCVMaker gives you instead is a price you can see before you build anything -- €9.99/month flat on the pricing page -- 229 real templates to build and preview for free with no account, 215 of them on the Advanced Editor for actual per-element design control, and AI drafting that runs on Anthropic's Claude models, named explicitly in our Privacy Policy. Every plan exports a dedicated ATS-Friendly PDF alongside the Designer PDF, checked with four automated tests before every release. Compare the full template library with no account and no download required.
