Digital Marketing Resume: Numbers Win
A marketing hiring manager has read "results-driven digital marketer" a hundred times this month and skips right past it. What gets a callback is proof of campaign performance on named platforms, not a list of buzzwords about growth and engagement.
What actually makes a difference
- Name the platforms you've actually run (Google Ads, Meta Ads Manager, LinkedIn Campaign Manager, HubSpot, GA4) — many postings filter on the exact platform, and "digital marketing tools" alone reads as vague.
- Turn "managed campaigns" into a number: ROAS, CTR, cost per acquisition, or a specific conversion-rate lift — "cut CPA 22% across paid search" beats "optimized ad performance" every time.
- Lead with certifications (Google Ads, GA4, HubSpot Inbound) right under your name — they're a fast, checkable way to prove platform fluency before anyone reads a bullet.
- If you've owned a budget directly, state the dollar amount — "managed a $50K/month paid media budget across 3 channels" reads as real ownership, not just execution of someone else's plan.
