Build a Frontend Developer Resume That Gets Interviews
Free templates, ATS keywords, and resume tips written specifically for Frontend Developer roles.
A frontend developer resume is judged on specificity within seconds -- a hiring engineer can tell the difference between someone who used React and someone who deeply understands it, and the resume either signals that or it doesn't.
Skills ATS looks for in a Frontend Developer resume
What actually makes a difference
- Name your exact framework and version where it matters ("React 18 with hooks" beats "JavaScript frameworks") -- recruiters and ATS filters both key off the specific term.
- Link a live deployed project or GitHub profile directly under your name; for frontend roles it's often checked before the second bullet point is read.
- Quantify performance work when you have it: load-time reduction, Lighthouse score improvement, or bundle-size cuts are concrete proof of skill.
- Cut generic "responsive design" language and instead name the actual breakpoints, accessibility standard (WCAG 2.1 AA), or component library you shipped against.
A "Projects" section with 2-3 shipped links (personal, open-source, or work) often carries more weight than the work-history section for early-career frontend roles -- put it near the top if your portfolio is strong.
